The Face-Off Club (FOC) held its annual election at the Patty Center in the Nanook Room on Tuesday, May 3, 2016 at 6:30 p.m.

A big welcome to our two new board members:  Jim Lewandowski and Jim Thomas.  We are excited to have them join.

A big thank you to our outgoing board members: Peggy Birkenbuel, Sharon Boko, Mike Fisher, Adeline Gaudreau and Paul McCarthy. While you won’t be on the board this upcoming year, several of you are still helping the FOC in some capacity and if not, we know we can always reach out to you for advice/guidance or if we need a volunteer.

Interested in Volunteering?  This year, the focus will be on fundraising and expanding our membership base.  If you are interested in volunteering to give ideas and/or help with legwork this season, we would love to hear from you!  Please message us on Facebook as we respond quickly OR email us at president@54.200.127.70

If you would like the opportunity to further your involvement with Alaska Nanook Hockey and the Fairbanks community, NOW is the time!!
The Face-Off Club (FOC) is comprised of a dynamic and growing group of hockey fans!  The mission is to support the Alaska Nanooks Division I hockey program at the University of Alaska Fairbanks. This is achieved by fundraising and other activities which promote hockey; attract new fans; provide for the needs of the players, coaches and the Alaska Nanook hockey program.  We strive for a fun and interactive atmosphere while raising funds and getting the word out about the Alaska Nanook Hockey program.  The FOC activities are designed to allow fans to mingle and get to know the Alaska Nanooks players and coaches.  The FOC is a group of enthusiastic individuals and families and is governed by a Board of Directors.

This board meets once a month, however is involved in supporting the hockey team year-round!  We are looking for people willing to share new ideas on how we can make the program better for everyone, players, coaches and fans!

This weekend (February 27-28) is the LAST WEEKEND to pick up your cash raffle tickets! The winners will be drawn during the game on Saturday, March 5.

The Face Off Club will be hosting a Silent Auction at our tables at the South End of the Carlson Center.  Check out the Facebook Event for pictures of some of the items available.

COACHES LUNCHEON: Join the Face-Off Club at noon at the Carlson Center, visit with friends while hearing the coaches talk hockey! Bring your questions for the coaches OR for players Justin Woods and Ryker Leer! They LOVE to talk hockey!!
